A nostalgic look at a huge display of photographs of March and the surrounding area through the past 100 years. John will be doing a watercolour painting demonstration and raffling the finished original. Colin Bedford will be displaying some of his huge photographic archive and memorabilia from the former Hereward School, March. Open from 7 p.m.

This will be raffled on the day and raffle entry tickets are £1.00 a large display of paintings and fine art prints will be available for viewing and sale.

John will introduce the basics of watercolour painting and help you to produce your first masterpiece. You will be located in the observatory overlooking the thousands of wildfowl gathered within feet of your painting position. The day includes access to the Wildfowl Trust reserve and lunch in the Wigeon Cafe is included as is a front row seat for the fantastic spectacle of the daily Swan feeds. You will view this from the comfort of the heated observatory with an expert commentary by one of the WWT wardens. Booking is essential and the day starts at 11 a.m. Cost is £30.00 per person and places are stricly limited.

This is the annual festival celebrating the return of some 7000 migratory Whoopers & Bewicks Swans, to winter at the reserve. John has painted as artist in residence at this festival every year since the first event and will be demonstrating watercolour painting in the main observatory throughout the two-day event. John dontates the paintings created during the weekend to the BBC Trustline Appeal and these are auctioned live 'on air' to raise funds for local charities.
